A comparative study of the effectiveness of Gum Arabic"Acacia senegal" and Moringa oleifera" Moringa ceae" extracts on the peptic ulcer in the experimental rats

Abstract

The aim of this study is: to evaluate the effect of using gum Arabic and Moringa oleifera extracts on the peptic ulcers. 50 rats were divided into 8 groups (6/every group "G") one put on the basic diet only as positive control group (G+).44 rats were infected by aspirin solution.2 from them were taken as exam to be make sure that the peptic ulcer is accused. A group was put on the basic diet only (G-) negative control. G1, G2, G3 were put on the basic diet+ Gum Arabic extract (500,1000,1500 mg/kg of rat weight). G4, G5, G6 were put on the basic diet+ Moringa oleifera extract (800,1000,1200 mg/kg of rat weight).At the end of the experiment (6 weeks) the rats were fasted for 12 hours before slaughtering, blood samples were collected to obtain the serum the stomach was separated for examination and gastric juice was collected to determine the (PH) the results showed that groups 6 , 5 and 3 highest increases in WBC, Group 6 then 5 highest increase in lymphocytes and volume .Group 6 then 3 highest increase in HP when compared with (Co-). Histological study showed that revealed the absence of histological changes in groups 3,4, 6 and 8 while other sections and group 5 showed mucosal vascular congestion and submucosal edema with inflammatory cell infiltration. Slight submucosal edema was change observed in Group 7.
